Touring Winnie Palmer

On Wednesday, we took our hospital tour at Winnie Palmer. I wasn’t really expecting to get much from it, since we have both been through most of it before with Heather and Jeanne, but it turned out not only to be sort of fun, but informative.  The tour itself was just about what I expected. It just confirmed what we already knew, but it gave us a good opportunity to ask questions.

I really like our choice of hospital. Winnie Palmer seems so great at making the experience as nice as possible. I really enjoy going there. Not only is the staff friendly, the decor nice, and the layout well designed, but it is also a place of many more happy memories than sad ones. I did find out one thing that might change our plans a bit though.  Their wifi has the ports for Skype blocked, so that might not be possible. If that is the case, we’ll make sure to keep everyone updated in other ways.

Bonus Belly Shot at the Eiffel Tower

We’ve been having a great time in Paris, and while taking lots of pictures, we got a great belly shot.  Look how big I am. Perrin is growing all the time, and it seems that we can see the changes daily.

The plush turtle that you see in the picture is both our trip mascot, and our Perrin stand-in.

26 Week Ultrasound

Today we had a size and date ultrasound to make sure Perrin was on track. I had a doctors appointment earlier in the week and I was measuring 3 weeks earlier then my due date, so she wanted to make sure everything was going according to plan.

We had a really nice tech that worked really hard at getting some good pictures. Perrin, as usual, was being shy and facing towards my back. I had to lay on my side a couple of times to get him to move. She confirmed that Perrin was indeed a boy (Woo H00!) and that he was growing right on track. The doctor came in at the end and told us everything was fine but I had slightly lower fluid then they like. Nothing to be worried about, but I just need to increase my water intake. So now instead of 2L I have to try to drink 3-4L: no biggie. The doctor wants to see me back in a month for another ultrasound, just to make sure everything is still going smoothly. I am the luckiest momma to be able to see my baby so much while he is in the womb.

I am so glad everything is going to well and that in just a few short months I will get to see him in person.

Easter was Good to Perrin

Yesterday, Bionca set out all of the gifts that Perrin got for Easter, and it was quite a haul! I know I said it before, but thank you again, to everyone for such generosity. We really appreciate it.

Easter Baby Shower

I was waiting until I could get a picture of all the fantastic presents that we received at the baby shower that was thrown for Bionca over Easter weekend, but we just haven’t gotten to it, and Bionca has even started organizing things and putting them with the other stuff that we have already.  It was very nice, and we really appreciate not only the gifts, but the work and thought that went into it.  I don’t think that I have ever seen so many turtles in one place.

Bionca had a very enthusiastic helper (Linnea) getting her presents open, and she had a great time. As soon as we get the pictures, we’ll post them here.  Thanks again, everyone!
